"The word, 'theatre', comes from the Greeks.
It means the 'seeing place'.
It is the place people come to see the truth about life
and the social situation."

The Epidaurus theatre is famous for it's amazing acoustics.
Research shows that t’s not the slope, or the wind but rather the limestone seats that create an acoustics filter. A performer's voice can be heard all the way to the back rows of the theatre without any amplification of any kind. "Congratulations, for everything you are!
When you think you're nowhere, Getting COVID, To us, you're a shining star! Congratulations, you've made it this far!" |
Dan and Kathy composed a little song on the spot, to test the acoustics of the theatre! Deryl and I were standing at the very top of the theatre and could hear everything clearly! |

We drove from Epidaurus to catch the ferry at Ermioni to visit Hydra Island.
The sea was quite rough so the ferries were delayed.
While we were waiting, I decided we needed to grab a quick group 'selfie'!
That's the group photo on our 'Why Rick Steve's' page!
