The Tholos Tomb
The Treasury of Atreus or Tomb of Agamemnon is a large tholos or beehive tomb.
The main tomb consisted of a circular burial chamber, or thalamos, topped with a dome.
The triangle space above the door was to decrease weight on the lintel.
The engineering of the tomb in amazing!

Nafplio
After visiting Mycenae we returned to Nafplio.
We challenged ourselves to hike up to Palamidi castle - otherwise known as the 999 steps!
It was a big climb but we did it!
